St. Modwen Park Chippenham

Sustainability

We have built a pond within the park which allows us to collect and store excess rain and surface water, helping to prevent the site from flooding, but also lessening the potential of public systems getting overloaded during heavy storms. In addition to this, we have contributed to Wessex Water’s project to replace the local main sewer.

Biodiversity

On the park itself, a series of hedges were relocated and felled trees subsequently stacked throughout the construction process to create an ecological enhancement area, providing a natural habitat for wildlife and encouraging them to use the site as their home. As part of this, we also protected a bat corridor that runs across the back of the site and are maintaining this area. These moves support our commitment to ensuring that our work has a net gain in terms of biodiversity levels of at least 10%.

Our customers – a place to grow

Furniturebox

Furniturebox is an expanding online furniture business dedicated to providing quality and affordable products backed-up with exceptional customer service. Following its rapid growth, Furniturebox required a larger, sustainable building closer to the national motorway network to serve the demands of its increasing customers with faster and improved services. The move to the park has enabled Furniturebox to extend the cut-off time for next day delivery from 1.00pm, allowing customers to place orders as late as 8pm.

Huboo

Huboo is an eCommerce fulfilment partner supporting the growth of all types of businesses. Huboo moved into its 106,000 sq ft warehouse in July 2021, creating up to 400 jobs in the process, to enable it to meet the rapid surge in demand for its services, when it was already shipping more than nine million products a year. The space represents Huboo’s largest facility to date and allows it to implement a unique model to support online retailers, utilising software to drive a smarter and more efficient warehouse.

Space to grow.

We provide the high-performing space our customers need to grow and some amazing things happen within those spaces. Below you’ll find a selection of customer case studies: why not take a look and let us lift the lid on what happens inside our buildings?
