Contractors and Partners

Success through collaborative partnerships

We establish close and trusted partnerships with our logistics contractors by working collaboratively to a shared set of values – a key facet in delivering our responsible business ambitions.

Our aim is to ensure high standards across all our developments by focusing on a safety-first culture, responsible operating practices and commitment to the environment and sustainability throughout the project.

We continuously strive to improve the quality of our parks by focusing on new green building methods and materials and bringing in innovations to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings that can support our logistics contractors’ own environmental and carbon reduction targets.

The Swan Standard

The Swan Standard is designed to not only benefit the wider environment but also the customers occupying our buildings, helping them achieve their own sustainability and ESG targets.

All new buildings over 70,000 sq ft boast photovoltaic solar systems, energy ratings of EPC A and upwards, and a minimum industry sustainability BREEAM rating of Very Good, offering customers lower running costs, improved energy efficiency and a reduction in their overall operational costs.

Our customers’ employees can benefit from the green spaces, walking, cycling and fitness areas, creating better job satisfaction and promoting health and wellbeing amongst their workforces.

Delivered with consistency

Our success is achieved in collaboration with our contractors and partners, who share our values in delivering high-quality, sustainable buildings that support the business growth of our customers.

responsible operating practices

We have created Codes that define our purpose and outline a framework our contractors and partners work towards to deliver consistent developments and parks. Our Codes align with the RIBA Plan of Work which organises the process of briefing, designing, constructing and operating building projects into eight stages to deliver quality outcomes.

Our Codes encompass our Responsible Business Ambitions which focus on where we can make a sustainable difference to society and the environment. Together, with our contractors and partners, we apply responsible building practices and deliver developments and parks underpinned with sustainability, the environment, local community and employee wellbeing at the core of the design. Our customers can be assured that the new buildings they occupy can help support their ESG goals and ambitions.
