Our business

Richard joined St. Modwen in 2010 and leads the Planning team for St. Modwen Logistics. Richard leads on the promotion of a number of strategic commercial sites.

Jessica joined St. Modwen in March 2022 and is based in our Birmingham office. Jessica is involved with the promotion of strategic sites, the acquisition of strategic land, and securing planning permission for major employment sites in the South East.

Prior to joining St. Modwen, Jessica spent 8 years working in consultancy. This included working at planning consultants Barton Willmore for 6 years where Jessica advised on major industrial and logistics developments. Jessica has an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and is a chartered Town Planner.

In 2021, Sarah joined St. Modwen, transitioning to the Logistics team in April 2022. Sarah is based in the Bristol office covering the South West region.  She is involved in strategic land promotions, planning applications, site searching and site acquisitions.

A chartered Town Planner, Sarah has a MA in Town and Country Planning. Prior to joining St. Modwen, Sarah held roles in the public and private sector spanning 9 years, specialising in strategic planning.

Damien joined St. Modwen in March 2022 and is based in our Birmingham office. A chartered member of the RTPI, Damien’s role involves the promotion of strategic sites and securing planning permission for major employment developments across the Midlands and North.

Prior to joining St. Modwen, Damien spent 15 years working in consultancy. This included working at planning consultants Turley for the last 10 years where Damien was responsible for advising on major commercial and logistics developments.

Hollie joined St. Modwen in May 2021 and is based in our central London office. Hollie leads on all town planning related work for the South Eastern region, including the promotion of strategic land through the Local Plan process, advising on site acquisitions, and negotiating and securing complex planning permission’s for major employment sites.

Hollie has a consultancy and developer background, having spent the past ten years working in various roles for national housebuilders. Hollie has an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning and is a Chartered Town Planner (RTPI accredited).

Richard has worked at St. Modwen since 2007 and leads the delivery team for St. Modwen’s industrial and logistics construction nationally. He is responsible for all aspects of project assembly, procurement and delivery, and currently leads on product development. Richard has also been instrumental in the design and engineering of St. Modwen’s industry-leading design code for its scalable industrial and logistics units. Richard has over 30 years’ experience in the construction sector and has successfully worked on many major industrial & logistics, residential and commercial projects.

Richard has worked at St. Modwen since 2017 and is responsible for construction-related activities in the West and Wales region. He has a main contracting background, providing invaluable insight into the construction process, and an understanding of what makes the supply chain tick. Richard has a degree in Quantity Surveying and is a member of the RICS.

Mark joined St. Modwen in 2014 and is responsible for multiple developments. Prior to this Mark was construction director for a Midlands-based construction firm with over 25 years’ experience in the construction sector. Mark is a member of the Institute of Building with the expertise to safely deliver complex developments to the highest standards – on time and on budget.

Ian joined St. Modwen in 2022 as a Senior Construction Manager responsible for overseeing the planning and delivery of several key logistics developments. Prior to this Ian was a consultant undertaking the role of project manager and cost manager. Ian has 20 years’ experience in the construction sector and has successfully worked on many major projects across various sectors including industrial and logistics. Ian is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and is a member of the RICS.

Lee joined St. Modwen in 2016. He supported a number of the regional businesses from Longbridge before being appointed to the role of Senior Finance Director in 2019, responsible for managing the Logistics finance team. In his current role as Head of Development, Lee oversees the performance reporting, forecasting, planning and insight requirements of our growing Logistics platform and assets.

Carys joined St. Modwen in January 2022, working on acquisitions across the UK.

In her previous role, Carys worked as an Investment Agent at Colliers advising on acquisitions and disposals across a number of sectors with a focus on business space.

Carys is a member of the RICS and is based in the Bristol office.

Hannah is a member of the Development team based in the Midlands office.

Ellen joined St. Modwen in February 2022 from the development team at Associated British Ports (ABP). Prior to this, she held roles in the London development team at Network Rail, and at consultancy Savills, where she qualified as a surveyor in 2016.

Ellen is responsible for the delivery of developments and the planning promotion of strategic sites in the Midlands region.

Hannah is a member of the Development and Leasing team based in the Midlands office. She joined St. Modwen in July 2020 after 3 years with BNP Paribas Real Estate, where she worked across a number of different sectors.

Pete has worked at St. Modwen since 2006 and oversees the Logistics team in the West and Wales region. A member of the RICS, Pete previously worked at Lambert Smith Hampton and has covered the South West region since 2001. He is based in Bristol.

James joined the Wales and West region of St. Modwen in July 2018. He is actively involved in delivering commercial developments and sourcing new opportunities across the region, with a particular focus on the industrial & logistics sector.

Before joining St. Modwen, James worked for a Midlands-based commercial developer having qualified with Savills in 2014.

James is a member of the RICS, with key experience in development agreements and marketing new commercial space.

Nick is one of the longest serving members of the team, having joined St. Modwen in 1997. He has a wealth of experience in the industrial & logistics sector, having contributed significantly to the regeneration and development of challenging major employment sites.

Nick works hard to build a strong rapport with occupiers and landowners to expedite the letting of our stock, and thereafter to replenish land under our control in the South East.

Tilly joined St. Modwen in 2022 in the role of Graduate – Asset Management, Investment and Development. Tilly graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class integrated BSc & MSc studying Real Estate and Planning and currently is working towards achieving her RICS Qualification.

Ben Quarrie started at St. Modwen in October 2020 and is a RICS surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in the property industry. Prior to joining St. Modwen, Ben spent 11 years at National Grid Properties, most recently as a Land Development Manager specialising in bringing Brownfield and Contaminated land forward for commercial and residential development.

Rob started at St. Modwen in 2014 and is responsible for key industrial and development projects across the Midlands and North.

Rob qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2002. Before joining St. Modwen, he worked in industrial agency and asset management in London, then industrial development and asset management in Yorkshire.

Rob’s core experience has been in strategic development and asset management in the industrial & distribution sector, where he has taken forward a number of successful schemes and delivered a range of value-enhancement initiatives.

Marcus joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2021 and is based in Bristol supporting the development team.

Prior to starting at St. Modwen, he gained previous work experience within the industrial/logistics sector which included spending time at SEGRO Plc. Marcus graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Property Development and Planning and achieved a First-Class result for his dissertation analysing the links between the logistics and retail property sectors.

Alex joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2023 as part of the graduate programme, rotating in the Investment, Development and Asset Management teams. Alex is a graduate from Lancaster University, with a degree in Economics. Prior to starting at St. Modwen, Alex had internship experience at OMERS/Oxford Properties and Blackstone

Jake joined St. Modwen in 2020 and is responsible for delivering industrial and logistics development across the UK. He is a member of the RICS, with considerable experience gained working with private property companies and institutional organisations. With specialisms in development, portfolio and asset management, commercial acquisitions and agency throughout the UK.

Ben joined St. Modwen in 2020 after four years with Lambert Smith Hampton, working with the Midlands I&L Agency Team.

Ben qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2016 and has experience within the Industrial & Logistics sector in the East Midlands and South Yorkshire regions.

James joined St. Modwen in 2022 to lead the transactions team – focusing on growing the business through the acquisition of standing assets, portfolios and development opportunities across the UK. Prior to joining St. Modwen, James spent 21 years at InfraRed Capital Partners (IRCP), a global investment manager, leading the assembly of several value-add and core-plus funds. During his tenure as Director and Head of Origination for UK and Ireland, he built a strong track record in logistics and light industrial sector.

Stephen joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2022 as Senior Investment Manager, focused on growing the UK logistics platform via single assets, portfolios and development opportunities working with Blackstone. Before joining St. Modwen, he previously worked at CapitaLand, a Singaporean global real estate investor for over 3 years as head of UK investments and grew the portfolio focused on logistics and data centre assets. Prior to that Stephen was an investment manager at M&G Real Estate within the Logistics investment team.

Tilly joined St. Modwen in 2022 in the role of Graduate – Asset Management, Investment and Development. Tilly graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class integrated BSc & MSc studying Real Estate and Planning and currently is working towards achieving her RICS Qualification.

Emil joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2023, supporting investment activity, analysing investments and investment underwriting, working closely with Blackstone.

Emil graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Economics, and previously spent two years at Clearbell Capital as a Real Estate Private Equity Investor.

Alex joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2023 as part of the graduate programme, rotating in the Investment, Development and Asset Management teams. Alex is a graduate from Lancaster University, with a degree in Economics. Prior to starting at St. Modwen, Alex had internship experience at OMERS/Oxford Properties and Blackstone

Ollie joined St. Modwen Logistics in January 2022 as an Investment Manager, and is focused on appraising the standing investment portfolio, providing analysis and recommendation on investment activity, as well as sourcing and working closely with Blackstone on new opportunities and acquisitions. Ollie has over 6 years’ experience with Knight Frank working across the UK Industrial & Logistics Market and brings a wealth of experience in investment acquisitions and disposals, as well as development and asset management. Ollie is a member of the RICS and is based in the London office.

Gordon joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2023 as Head of Portfolio. Gordon has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector, and joined us from ARA Dunedin, the UK arm of APAC’s largest real estate fund manager ESR group, where he spent twenty years. Kellie will lead the asset and property management teams and drives St. Modwen Logistics’ growth strategy through value creation and performance across the growing platform.

James joined St. Modwen in July 2023 as an Asset Manager, and is focused on managing a number of assets in the industrial & logistics portfolio based in the North West. James brings valuable experience to the team having worked as an Industrial and Logistics Agent at CBRE, providing advisory and transactional services to clients across the sector. James has been a member of the RICS since 2020 and is based in the North West.

Tom joined St. Modwen in 2020 and is a member of the Asset Management team based in Birmingham. A member of the RICS, Tom has over 15 years’ experience in the property industry. Before joining St. Modwen he worked for national occupiers Travis Perkins and SIG.

Dave is a member of the Asset Management team based in the South West.

He is responsible for a number of assets in the industrial & logistics portfolio which are mainly in the West and Wales. A member of the RICS, Dave has over 20 years’ experience in the asset management sector.

George joined St. Modwen in June 2023 as an Asset Manager and focuses on the management of assets in the industrial & logistics portfolio predominantly based in the Midlands. Member of the RICS with seven years’ experience in the commercial property industry. Prior to joining St. Modwen George worked at M7 for three years, specialising in multi-let industrial asset management nationwide.

Howard joined the St. Modwen Logistics Team in June 2023 from Harbert Management Corporation. Based in the North West of England, Howard has 19 years of commercial real estate experience including 15 years in asset management. Howard is responsible for the asset management of the industrial and logistics portfolio in the North West. Howard is also working closely with the Investment Team on acquisitions & Development Team on delivery of best in class developments.

Tilly joined St. Modwen in 2022 in the role of Graduate – Asset Management, Investment and Development. Tilly graduated from the University of Manchester with a first class integrated BSc & MSc studying Real Estate and Planning and currently is working towards achieving her RICS Qualification.

Ali joined St. Modwen in February 2022 and is responsible for Estate Management (Property Management and Facilities Management) across the logistics portfolio. Ali is a member of the RICS and has more than 20 years of industry experience covering planning and development and property management across public sector and private sectors. Before joining St. Modwen, Ali Mew was Head of Property Management for UK and Ireland for Hammerson Plc on their prime retail destinations and secondary retail and office (development) portfolio.

Holly joined St. Modwen in June 2022 from the asset management team at Abrdn, where she worked across several funds and qualified as a chartered surveyor.

Holly is responsible for the asset management for sites in London and the South East.

Rawa joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2022 as part of the graduate programme. Rawa supports the Portfolio team as a graduate portfolio analyst, involved in the reporting of the growing portfolio and asset management strategies. Rawa is a graduate of Durham University in Geography, and is currently studying part time towards a Real Estate MSc and RICS qualification.

Alex joined St. Modwen Logistics in 2023 as part of the graduate programme, rotating in the Investment, Development and Asset Management teams. Alex is a graduate from Lancaster University, with a degree in Economics. Prior to starting at St. Modwen, Alex had internship experience at OMERS/Oxford Properties and Blackstone

Prior to joining St Modwen in March 2022, Kailan graduated with a first-class honours in business management at Liverpool Hope University and is looking to continue studying in order to gain his L7 CIMA Accountancy/Taxation qualification.

Helen joined the St. Modwen Logistics Legal Team in September 2022 and is a qualified solicitor with more than 15 years’ experience working in the property industry. In her role as Senior Legal Counsel, Helen provides legal support and advice across all areas of the business to facilitate its growth and progression. Prior to joining St. Modwen, Helen worked as a real estate lawyer in private practice law firms and more recently as a consultant, dealing with all elements of commercial property law, including acquisitions, disposals, asset management, real estate finance, landlord and tenant and development matters.

Becky joined St. Modwen in 2018 and is based out of our Longbridge office, however, makes frequent trips to London. Becky heads up our People and Culture team, responsible for anything related to our employees from attraction through to recruitment, operations, policies, reward and benefits, L&D, events and internal communications.

Becky has worked in HR for a number of years across a variety of sectors including retail, manufacturing and charity but started her career as a store manager for a well-known high street retailer. Becky has a Bsc in Business Administration, Public Policy and Management and is FCIPD Qualified (fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development)

Siobhan joined the team in 2019 with several years of marketing experience across a variety of industries. Siobhan oversees all marketing activities across the Logistics team, including creating a marketing strategy for the team, developing the team’s social media accounts, producing marketing collateral and event organisation. Siobhan has experience in brand management, social media, art direction, digital marketing, graphic design and creative copywriting.

Chris joined St. Modwen in 2022 after almost a decade in the PR agency world. He has previously worked with a number of big-name consumer brands and governing bodies across the worlds of sport, fashion and lifestyle managing everything from their proactive PR strategies through to reputation management.

Sarwjit joined St. Modwen in 2020 as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining St. Modwen, Sarwjit was the CEO of Centrica Consumer and a member of the board at Centrica plc. He held a number of senior positions during his 19-year tenure at the company including strategy, finance, major capital projects and renewable energy, before leading its consumer business. Prior to Centrica, Sarwjit was at the technology and management consultancy, Booz Allen Hamilton. Sarwjit is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering & Technology.
